Aerial photographs provided by avatrix/photographer Margot Cheel at SPWA’s 2016 Annual Meeting display challenges facing the Pond:
1)  Nutrient loading from applications of fertilizer in the watershed feeds organic materials thriving in the shallow waters of the Pond

2)  Ocean ‘over wash’ during storms is depositing sand into the Pond across from Crescent Beach in Hull.

Note that the large peninsula or ‘island’ will soon be accessible on foot from Richards Road in Hull.
